Maybach convertible for Dubai Motor Show

The Middle East Motor Show in Dubai will have its first ever world premiere of a model not shown anywhere else. Announced earlier by Mercedes-Benz as a mystery Maybach concept car, some British rag leaked that the unknown car is indeed a four-door convertible called the Maybach 62 Landaulet.

Nissan Skyline GT-R to debut in Tokyo

Nissan is going to unveil its best ever sports car at the end of next month during the 2007 Tokyo Auto Show. Dropping the “Skyline” name, it will be called the Nissan GT-R, and will be equipped with a twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre V6 powerplant, pumping out an estimated 480 hp to 530 hp. Shown above is the disguised working prototype. The surprising part is it has unofficially been proven to be quicker around a track than a Porsche 911 Turbo, which costs twice as much as the GT-R.

Limited Lamborghini Reventon in Frankfurt

Lamborghini unveiled a limited version of the Murcielago at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show. Calling it the Lamborghini Reventón, just 20 will be produced, and while it is based on the Murcielago LP640 completely under the skin, this car will be priced at 1 million Euros, before taxes.

2008 Mazda 6 to debut at Frankfurt

The all-new redesigned 2008 Mazda 6 will debut in Europe first, at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show. Seen here is a teaser photo released by Mazda. Based on the new Ford Mondeo, which incidentally hasn’t been released here either, it is expected to feature similar engine choices to the Ford, including a 3.5-litre V6.
