A couple of days earlier, Ford jumped into the EV truck waters with the Ford F-150 Lightning. With the meat of the Lightning range catering to the lifestyle customers, Ford is now wooing the commercial market with their F-150 Lightning Pro, an entry-level model to the EV truck range.
The original Ford F-150 SVT Lightning was a “sports truck” last since almost 2 decades ago, bowing out as a legend that was never replaced as the Raptor took over the mantle of top dog. So it was a smart marketing move by Ford to rebirth the F-150 Lightning as a speedy all-electric truck that is going to shake up the segment.
When the 2021 Ford F-150 came out last year, people were wondering when the next Raptor will make an appearance. Now almost a year later, they have revealed the new generation 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor with the promise of a V8 on the horizon.
Ford F-150 is easily one of the biggest success stories in the automotive world. The full-size pickup truck sells like hotcakes in the United States. So when the time has come to refresh the F-150 for 2021, Ford has not completely overhauled the proven design. Instead, they have chosen to skip radical exterior changes for major upgrades under the skin, including the addition of features to make the workhorse an even better one.
