More McLaren P1 details revealed
McLaren gave out more details on their next new model, the P1, which will be officially available by the end of the year.

2012 Middle East Motor Awards winners at Sharjah Expo
The 2012 Sharjah Auto Show this year had some surprise exhibits this year, but interestingly, there were very few surprises at the 2012 Middle East Motor Awards. I being one of the 17 judges for the awards, there was always the possibility that my favourites would not win, but it seems many of the other judges had similar opinions to me this time around. Organised by Muhammed Ali Sajjad of the Sharjah Expo, it’s worth noting that General Motors, Audi and a few other carmakers didn’t win anything, which goes to show that this is probably the only “real”

First drive: 2012 McLaren MP4-12C in Dubai
It isn’t everyday that media people get to drive a supercar. Well, in our case, we never get to drive a supercar. The closest we’d come before was the Nissan GT-R, but that’s stretching it. But then we finally managed to talk ourselves into the driver’s seat of one. We skipped secretive Ferrari, Lamborghini et al and went straight to the McLaren MP4-12C, the British carmaker’s first proper model since they redefined the meaning of “supercar” more than a decade ago with the McLaren F1.

We get lots of requests to do videos, but we generally don’t waste time churning out boring nonsense. If you haven’t heard already, we drove a McLaren MP4-12C recently. And we have video too. For footage that barely lasts a minute, you can see the launch control, the air-brake spoiler, the active suspension, the braking power and even the exhaust note, all shot during our road-test just outside Dubai. It took a while. It took a long while. But we finally managed to get our hands on a supercar. A McLaren MP4-12C no less. Yes, we finally can remember the jumbled name of the car now.
McLaren MP4-12C Spider 2013 convertible debuts
The McLaren MP4-12C Spider just made its worldwide debut in pictures today. The Spider is essentially a hard-top convertible version of the MP4-12C sports coupe.
McLaren MP4-12C debuts, coming to UAE & GCC
McLaren Automotive has launched their all-new exotic sports car, originally known as the P11 project. Now unimaginatively dubbed as the McLaren MP4-12C, this jumble of letters and numbers is the closest thing to a successor for the groundbreaking McLaren F1 supercar of the 1990s. The McLaren MP4-12C will go on sale in the Middle East in 2011.
Barichello wins 2009 European F1 GP for Brawn
Rubens Barrichello finally has a win for Brawn GP, coming in first at the 2009 European F1 Grand Prix in Valencia with a performance that brought him home just over two seconds ahead of McLaren’s Lewis Hamilton, whose pit-crew cost him the win.
