2019 Nissan Terra coming to UAE & GCC soon, replacing XTerra

As Nissan continues to go around Asia to introduce their new Terra body-on-frame SUV (the latest being in China), it has now been confirmed by Nissan Middle East that it is also coming to the UAE, KSA and other GCC markets as a replacement of the long-discontinued XTerra. Called the Nissan Terra, this SUV is built on a chassis shared with the Nissan Navara, and of course the cut-rate Mercedes X-Class. The left-hand-drive version of this seven-seat SUV will be launched publicly at the upcoming Beijing Motor Show.

Long-term update: The curious case of the fuel gauge in our Nissan Patrol

A few months ago, our Nissan Patrol LE went in for its mandatory bi-annual service. Yet again, we pointed out that the fuel gauge was showing wrong readings half the time. If you’ve read our past long-term updates, you’ll know this is an ongoing problem since we bought the car (although curiously, no other post-facelift Patrol owner seems to have this issue). This time, the service advisor blamed it on a low battery. Okay, we’ll play along and see what happens.

2018 Nissan Leaf debuts, looking more likely to be offered in UAE & GCC

Nissan has finally uncovered their new 2018 Leaf electric hatchback at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show. The 2018 Nissan Leaf comes with a completely overhauled design and better range. Though there are two models with different battery capacities, 40 kWh and 60 kWh, Nissan stressed mostly on the former, probably saving the latter (called the E-Plus) for another session.
