Mercedes-Benz has revealed that they are working on a new supercar called the SLS AMG. Announced at the 2009 Geneva Auto Show, the German manufacturer has confirmed that the car will feature gullwing doors similar to the classic 1950s 300SL, which eventually evolved into today’s SL-Class.
It is already known that Mercedes-Benz is dropping the “CLK” badge in a bid to simplify its stupidly-crowded line-up. The enlarged two-door model being readied for 2010 will be called the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupe, and near-production prototypes are being spotted all over Europe.
Update: I’ve been sent a threatening letter by lawyers representing the research company that held the event leading to the leak, just for this post that never showed the real photos. Therefore, I am being forced to remove references to the spy shots. The funny thing is, if they just asked nicely instead of using threats, I would’ve made this 4WD the biggest secret in the country.

While it was all but ignored at the 2007 Dubai Motor Show, the Chevrolet Volt has been doing rounds of international auto shows in concept form, and is set for release in 2010. As brash as the deadline is, the Volt is a game-changing car, designed to run purely on electricity from on-board lithium-ion batteries for up to 64 km, enough for commuting to work, while charging the batteries overnight every day. Also, with the use of a small petrol engine driving a generator to resupply the batteries, the Volt’s range is potentially increased to 580 km on the highway.

Believe it or not, but there are people out there who actually worship the perennially awful Honda City.
