2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid ups the green game with 680 hp
At last year’s Paris Motor Show, Porsche unveiled the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid which churned out 462 hp and 700 Nm from its hybrid powertrain that consisted of a bi-turbo 2.9-litre V6 and an electric motor. Now, Stuttgart has revealed a more powerful version of the hybrid Panamera with 680 hp. Say hello to the 2018 Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid.
2017 Mitsubishi ASX gets a Limited Edition
The Mitsubishi ASX has been around for a while now, carrying on in 2017 with a facelift. 2017 Nissan Patrol Super Safari debuts in UAE and GCC
The Y61-generation Nissan Patrol, still on sale in select markets including the UAE after the new Y62-generation came out in 2010, is getting a second life in the GCC, even as it is being phased out elsewhere. There will now be a top trim level called the Nissan Patrol Super Safari in the Middle East.

Nissan introduces Desert Camel Power to measure sand offroad abilities for 4x4s
This may sound a bit ridiculous initially, but Nissan Middle East has just announced a new concept to “revolutionise the way vehicles are evaluated for desert performance.” Developed by Nissan engineers over the past two years, Desert Camel Power uses a “scientifically proven formula to determine, in an accurately measurable and reproducible way, how a given vehicle will perform in typical desert off-road conditions.” It’s been a while since we graduated from engineering school, so we’ll just publish the specifics as told by Nissan.
Mansory kits up the Mercedes-Benz G-Class with 840 hp.
Mansory occasionally dishes out some seriously bonkers machines and now it`s no different. They have laid their hands on the Mercedes-AMG G 63 to give the off-roader a good Mansory special before it gets replaced in 2018.
First drive: 2018 Nissan Kicks in the UAE
Nissan invited us to a “surprise” launch event in Dubai, only telling us that it will be a crossover of some sort. That crossover turned out to be the 2018 Nissan Kicks. The more surprising news was that it will replace the Juke crossover and the Tiida hatchback in the carmaker’s GCC line-up, even though these cars will continue to be on sale in other markets such as Lebanon and Jordan.
First drive: 2017 Land Rover Discovery in Utah USA
It’s a bit early for gags, but this is a classic case of thinking outside the box. Say hello to Land Rover’s fifth-generation Discovery, which does away with the boxy (but characterful) shape of its predecessors in favour of softer, more tapered lines that its makers hope will attract a broader customer base to the model.
