2023 Ford Bronco Raptor possibly confirmed in unintentional leak
The Ford Bronco caused quite a stir when it debuted about a month ago, far more than anything that rivals from Jeep and Land Rover could cook up. However, with the top engine option limited to a 310 hp 2.7-litre turbo V6, it seemed like Ford left something on the table for a future higher-performance model such as a Ford Bronco Raptor. That plan was invariably “confirmed” after a long-time Ford engineer mentioned he (or she?) is working on a “2023 Bronco Raptor” on their LinkedIn job profile.
The engineer, whose profile was shared by others on the Bronco6G.com forums, listed the Bronco Raptor among their ongoing projects under the Experience heading of their profile on the career-focused social network, which has since been updated.
The new model only exists in artists’ imaginations right now, as shown above. Mechanical details are obviously unknown at this time, but Ford has a 400 hp 3.0-litre turbo V6 in their parts bin right now (as seen in the Explorer ST) that will make a fine motor for a quick offroad-capable SUV. Let’s hope the engineer didn’t get into too much trouble for the now-rectified social blunder.
Listed as a 2023 model, we can expect to see it unveiled sometime in early 2022. There is even an F-150 Raptor R model rumoured that is expected to murder the Ram 1500 TRX.
