Riddara RD6, new EV pickup, launched in the UAE

AGMC, the official distributor for Riddara vehicles in the UAE, has introduced the brand’s first fully electric 4×4 pickup, the Riddara RD6.

The launch follows an agreement between AGMC and Riddara, a 100% electric pickup truck brand under the Geely Holding Group. With this partnership, AGMC will distribute RIDDARA vehicles across the UAE, adding to its already diverse portfolio, which includes Geely vehicles.

Riddara RD6 Performance with Green Credentials

The RIDDARA RD6 is designed on Geely’s Multiple Attached Platform (M.A.P.), developed specifically for electric pickups.

The RD6 is no slouch. Its 422 hp motor and 585 Nm torque output enable the pickup to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph in just 4.5 seconds. On a full charge, it has a driving range of up to 455 km NEDC.

For those who like to venture outdoors, the RD6 has some impressive utility features. Its rear cargo area offers over 1,200 litres of space with a loading capacity of up to 865 kg. The pickup’s 21 kWh discharge capability allows drivers to power appliances such as refrigerators, lighting, and stereo systems, making it perfect for camping trips or outdoor events.

Tech and Comfort

A 14.6-inch central control screen paired with a 10.2-inch LCD instrument panel ensures the driver can access all critical information at their fingertips. Other tech highlights include smart keyless entry, adaptive cruise control, and an eight-speaker sound system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration.

Comfort hasn’t been forgotten either, with premium leather seats and an automatic climate control. On the safety side, the Rd6 has six airbags, automatic emergency braking, collision warning, and pedestrian protection.

Tested for UAE Conditions

In 2024, the Riddara RD6 underwent extensive hot-weather testing in the UAE. This ensured its battery and electric systems could withstand the region’s harsh summer heat.

Prices start from AED 139,000 for the Riddara RD6 2025 and tops out at AED 169,500.
