Just a few months after the reveal of the updated 4-door 2021 Mercedes E Class, the German manufacturer has now shown off the Coupe and Cabriolet versions of the executive sedan. The lineup also includes the new E53 AMG Coupe and Cabriolet.
The Mercedes Benz E-Class has always been the handsome middle-child of the German premium carmaker. The sedan has racked up a considerable amount of volume and became a forerunner for the success of the brand. For 2021, the Mercedes Benz E-Class has been lightly revamped, and with this update, the sedan and wagon versions get a frumpy new look, new tech, and a plug-in hybrid version.
Arguably, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class reached its peak back in the 1980s, when it wasn’t even called the E-Class. Comprising of models such as the all-rounder 300E, the handbuilt-by-Porsche 500E and the aftermarket-tuned AMG Hammer among others, the German carmaker’s W124-generation sedan was iconic. Unfortunately, right after this model was discontinued in 1995 after an 11-year run, Mercedes-Benz entered an era of confused designs and cost-cutting measures that didn’t subside until more than a decade later. Now, four generations later, there is an all-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class, but does it have what it takes to become an icon again?
The all-new Mercedes-Benz E-Class made its debut in the GCC, with the German manufacturer calling it their most intelligent car yet. While we have yet to get proper wheel-time with it, Mercedes-Benz is keen to point out that their ‘smart car’ has a whole host of new active safety features. We got chaperoned around at an event to experience some of the safety features which are part of the optional Driving Assistance Packing available in the 2017 E-Class.
The E-class has been a significant part of the Mercedes-Benz line-up since its inception in 1993 as a facelifted W124-gen model. The tenth generation of the E-Class was revealed in January at the 2016 Detroit Motor Show. Now, Merc’s in-house tuner, AMG, has revealed the E43 4MATIC, the latest in the company’s line of “entry-level” AMG products that sits below the upcoming AMG E63.

The regular E-Class sedan and coupe we have already seen, but now the 2014 Mercedes-Benz E 63 AMG 4Matic has finally been revealed. Not only does it get a boost in power from the twin turbocharged 5.5-litre V8 engine, but also it has gone all-wheel drive.
