First the trend among German carmakers was to build “four-door coupes”. Now the trend seems to be “four-door coupe station-wagons”, or whatever the marketing people want to call them. Porsche has just unveiled a near-production concept of their upcoming Panamera Sport Turismo wagon.
Porsche personnel have confirmed that a wagon variant of the Panamera will be showcased at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.

Since that final badge was missing from the Panamera line, Porsche has gone ahead and turned up the boost on the Turbo to create the Panamera Turbo S flagship model.
The last Porsche World Roadshow for the UAE was held two years ago at the Dubai Autodrome. It was a superb event for highlighting the entire Porsche line-up in one go. Seemingly open only to existing Porsche customers and us media types, it was a well-organised event that got us some wheel-time with the 2009 models. We haven’t driven any 911s or Cayennes in the past two years since then, simply because Porsche refuses to give us test cars for more than a few hours, but they did invite us to the 2011 edition of the Porsche World Roadshow,
At the 2010 Qatar Motor Show, Porsche unveiled the Panamera 4S Exclusive Middle East Edition. The strictly-limited 66 vehicles will only be available for sale in the Middle East. The “special” bits are limited to colour and trim only.
Porsche has announced that they will begin offering a Panamera Turbo Powerkit that increases engine output to 540 hp, 40 horses more than the standard 500 hp model. Other personalization upgrades include a Sport Design Package and the new 20-inch Panamera Sport wheels for the Panamera Turbo and the other Porsche V6 and V8 Panamera models.
Did you think recall season was over? Of course not. There are still a few manufacturers left. Porsche is recalling the 2010 Panamera for a potential seat-belt defect that could leave the driver unprotected in the event of a crash.
Porsche has recently launched a V6 model for the Panamera. Two models, the Panamera and Panamera 4, debuted at the Beijing Motor Show. The Porsche Panamera, which is already a super hit in this region, is sure to attract even more customers due to its lower price. Besides the engine, everything else is pretty much the same as the V8 models.
Officially introduced in the UAE at a launch party in Abu Dhabi, Porsche held a media driving event for the all-new Porsche Panamera GT sedan. The road trip comprised of a drive from Dubai to Fujairah and back in cars shared with other journalists, and a free lunch somewhere in between.
